- "ONLY" 2hrs 40mins? WHAT? How much time do you want to thoroughly test
- out a new version? Lazy bums (*)
-
- Actually, the pl4 changes are small enough that I hope there are no new
- bugs hiding in there, so pl4 should be as stable as pl3 - with the added
- advantage of not having the truncate bug. And I haven't gotten any bad
- reactions to pl3 yet. On the other hand, I guess most people haven't
- had time to upgrade even that far...
-
- Even the pl3 patches, while big, were pretty simple: mostly cleanups and
- some relatively straightforward swapping changes. While bugs are always
- possible, the pl3/4 changes aren't of the type that keeps me awake
- nights wondering if they will work, and are likely to work without major
- problems (famous last words...)

- (*) No, I'm not serious. Lack of smilies doesn't /always/ mean I'm dead
- serious. Although some problems (especially HD-driver-related) have in
- fact been corrected with the help of beta-testers that were ready to
- test out several new versions/day. Unsung heroes, and all that...
