  15. The garbled message you mention is probably being sent, and I have no
  16. idea why.  I am getting reports of the same thing from my UUCP feeds.

  18. I FINALLY get news and mail running under linux (thanks in a large part
  19. to the SLS distribution -- even though I had to recompile pieces of it
  20. to get the domain names correct -- Ed Carp, and HJ who produced a C
  21. compiler that tokk Cnews without a burp) and now my feeds can't login.

  23. If I call myself using minicom (one of the advantages of having two
  24. phone lines and two modems) I have no problems logging in under any
  25. user name and doing ``normal'' unix operations.  When one of my UUCP
  26. feeds calls in -- he's running a DOS machine and the latest UUPC I think --
  27. he gets the login: prompt, sends his login, and the gets various
  28. gibberish from me followed by a hangup string.  The same thing happens
  29. when he tries to log in from kermit.  Any suggestions??
