  41. There is a wonderful manual written by FvK, which explains how all 
  42. programs work together, what the sys and active files are for etc.
  43. I suggest checking MINIX archives for getting a complete distribution,
  44. e.g. ftp.thp.uni-koeln.de:pub/minix.  It seems to me, that you didn't 
  45. read that manual, because it explains the questions you asked.  You also
  46. should have got examples for the configuration files.

  48. I use wnews on Linux 0.96-pl1 (in former times I used it on MINIX) and 
  49. it works fine.
