  17. The SAGE*** policies working group is soliciting examples of computer
  18. policies and procedures. We would like anything that documents what you
  19. do when, and why you do it. These can deal with operations, account
  20. creation/access, disk space, file system ownership, mailing list
  21. ownership, peripheral access, physical computer access, or anything
  22. else that effects the way you run your computer(s).
  23.  
  24. This can cover anything from a single computer to a computer center
  25. serving thousands of users. It doesn't have to be UN*X specific, in
  26. fact, we'd like it to cover as broad a range as possible.

  28. Please be aware that documents sent to the policies working group
  29. become public, so if you have proprietary or classified information,
  30. please delete it before you send the document to us.
  31.  
  32. We will be formulating several suggested policy statements, as well as
  33. some possible procedural documents. These can then be used by systems
  34. administrators as an aid in establishing their own P&P documents.
  35.  
  36. Send electronic (ASCII or PostScript** preferred) versions of your
  37. documents to  sage-policies-survey@usenix.org .  If you only have paper
  38. versions, please contact me directly to discuss how we can best make it
  39. available to the working group.

  41. If you would like to be involved with the SAGE policies working group,
  42. send email to sage-policies-request@usenix.org with a single line
  43. message saying "subscribe sage-policies". As I understand it, anyone
  44. can join the working groups at this time, though that may change in
  45. January.
