  13.         Two of my friends just bought a Smart One 2400 modem with 
  14. MNP 2 through 7 by Best Data Products.  I suspect that earlier 
  15. versions of this modem didn't have MNP because the manual says 
  16. nothing about it.

  18.         This brings me to my question: do you know what the "at"
  19. commands are for controlling MNP with this modem?

  21.         I have an EMAC 2400 with MNP 5 and the "at" commands are 
  22. backslash commands.  For instance, at \n3 turns reliable mode (MNP) 
  23. on etc.  But the % and \ commands I try to feed the Smart One give 
  24. me back an error.

  26.         There is a comm. program that comes with this modem that 
  27. manages to get an MNP connection to places, but I don't want to use 
  28. it (the program is called Comit).  And I can't get any info. out of 
  29. the comm. program either.  I even copied the initialization string 
  30. letter for letter to my other comm. program (Telemate) and dialed 
  31. to the same place, but no MNP.  If case you wanted to know, the 
  32. init. string given was at s0=0 q0 v1 x4 &c1 &d2.
