- Two of my friends just bought a Smart One 2400 modem with
- MNP 2 through 7 by Best Data Products. I suspect that earlier
- versions of this modem didn't have MNP because the manual says
- nothing about it.
-
- This brings me to my question: do you know what the "at"
- commands are for controlling MNP with this modem?
-
- I have an EMAC 2400 with MNP 5 and the "at" commands are
- backslash commands. For instance, at \n3 turns reliable mode (MNP)
- on etc. But the % and \ commands I try to feed the Smart One give
- me back an error.
-
- There is a comm. program that comes with this modem that
- manages to get an MNP connection to places, but I don't want to use
- it (the program is called Comit). And I can't get any info. out of
- the comm. program either. I even copied the initialization string
- letter for letter to my other comm. program (Telemate) and dialed
- to the same place, but no MNP. If case you wanted to know, the
- init. string given was at s0=0 q0 v1 x4 &c1 &d2.
-
- Please help!
