  25. What the chips say is not really useful in determining what your memory is.
  26. Look at the way the chips are on the motherboard. Are they on their own
  27. separate little cards that are plugged into the motherboard? Or are the
  28. individual chips plugged into the motherboard itself?
  29.  
  30. If they are on their own removable mini boards, what do the connections
  31. to the motherboard look like? How many chips are there on each little card?
  32. If there are 9 and the connections are similar to that of your expansion
  33. cards (though on a smaller scale) then those are most likely SIMMs. If 
  34. there are fewer than 9 chips and the connections are like little wires
  35. that extend out of the card, then you probably have SIPs (less common
  36. than SIMMs).
