- Hi.
-
- I have a little trouble configuring smail 3.1.26.
-
- I want to get our mails routed as follows:
-
- The gateway between the UUCP net and our local TCP/IP net I'll call
- m0. The machine, where all mailboxes for users who are known all across
- our network via NIS/YP, should be located is m1.
- Mail into the UUCP net I want to get sent to a smarthost named m2 by m0.
- Mails from m2 to user@machine.do.main, where do.main is the domain of
- our company, I want to get routed as follows:
- If the machine is known in our local network, smail should check if the
- user is known by the NIS/YP system. If he is not, the mail must be sent
- to user@machine. If he is, then it must be sent to user@m1.
- Mail to user@do.main I want to get routed like mail to user@m0.do.main
- (see mail to user@machine.do.main).
-
- I can configure smail to send mail to user@machine.do.main to
- user@m1.do.main generally (with a queryprogram driver in routers).
- But I don't get the user part there. So I can't decide wether to deliver
- the mail to machine _or_ to m1.
-
- Another problem are mails to user@do.main. The director recognizes them
- as local and the router doesn't get them.
-
- I hope I was able to explain how I want to configure smail. All hints are
- appreciated. Thanks in advance,
- Markus
