- I've been experiencing a repeated problem with mailx(1) on AT&T SVR4 2.1
- that maybe you can help me with. After leaving mailx and returning
- at a later time to the same folder, some mail entries in the folder
- have been changed to binary type which cannot be printed or edited
- within the folder. mailx(1) determines they are "binary" because they
- have non-printable characters in them - in almost all cases these
- characters are cntl A's and appear in a vi edit of the folder as
- "^A"'s. I believe these contol characters are generated in the folder
- by leaving it and later returning - they are not in the original
- messages.
