  11. This message announces the availability of Scheme release scm4a11.
  12.  
  13. The distribution files now unpack into directory scm.  A recently
  14. introduced bug with (>= 1 3 2) has been fixed.  Support for Linux has
  15. been added.  Interrupts now work much better under VMS.  Speed of LET
  16. has been improved.
  17.  
  18. Scm conforms to Revised^4 Report on the Algorithmic Language Scheme
  19. and the IEEE P1178 specification.  Scm is written in C and runs under
  20. Amiga, Atari-ST, MacOS, MS-DOS, NOS/VE, VMS, Unix and similar systems.
  21. ASCII and EBCDIC are supported.

  23. Documentation is included explaining the many Scheme Language
  24. extensions in scm, the internal representation and how to extend or
  25. include scm in other programs.
