- Thanks for the script, Marc! I was able to make it functional by doing
- the following:

- 1. At the end of the package, place a "1" before the semicolon.
- 2. Where the values of X, M, C, and I are assigned, put a "1" at
- the beginning of the literal value.
- 3. Run testromn.pl repeatedly, and insert a "1" wherever there is
- a syntax error. :-)

- The package works fine now, but the documentation shows that it was written
- about September, 992 A.D! Perhaps this will cut down on Marc's mail for
- resends.
