  28. Borland International Inc previewed two upcoming Pascal language products at
  29. the 1992 Windows & OS/2 Conference in Boston. The company is preparing Turbo
  30. Pascal 7.0, an upgrade to its flagship Pascal development environment, and
  31. Borland Pascal with Objects, an object-oriented development system featuring
  32. a library of objects for developing in both DOS and Windows environments.
  33. Borland Pascal with Objects will reportedly begin beta testing in Sep 1992,
  34. with Turbo Pascal 7.0 following shortly thereafter. The object program will
  35. let programmers build applications by culling objects from a library and
  36. writing code to link them together. It will be sold with a built-in 16-bit
  37. DOS extender that complies with Microsoft's DOS Protected Mode Interface.
  38. Borland Pascal for Objects will reportedly be priced at $495. Turbo Pascal
  39. 7.0 for DOS will feature a similar DOS extender and will let developers
  40. create applications that run in protected mode.
