- I have to assign a student problem to be programmed in C++.
- The students should be able to complete it in, let's say,
- about 12 hours. I would like to come up with a problem
- that would highlight any drawbacks of C++ relative to other
- OO languages (other than the temptation to program in
- straight C). Something that would convince them they "deserve
- better than a C+", to quote a promotional button put out
- by a well-known supplier of Eiffel compilers. Kindly mail
- me ideas (let's not start a war across two newsgroups
- about which language is better). Thanks.
-
- PS: they will also have problems to do in Eiffel and
- Smalltalk. Consequently they will have a chance to compare
- languages.
