  13. This should be a faq, but we didn't find a comprehensive set of answers:

  15. What development environments, class libraries, application frameworks
  16. or APIs exist that allow to write programs portable across Suns, Macs
  17. and PCs?
  18.  
  19. - As an example, ParcPlace Smalltalk would be ideal as it guarantees
  20.   100% portability across those platforms.
  21. - We are primarily interested in environments or libraries for an
  22.   object-oriented language, and we focus on C++.
  23. - Naturally, we are especially interested in portable user interface code.
  24. - The environment or library should be stable and supported.
  25. - X would be a nice common basis.
