- : Censorship is when someone prevents you from posting.
- Nope. There's explicit censorship and theres implicit censorship. Maybe
- you don't have this where you are but in my country, certain things are
- just not done simply because it would be too much bother (this is a
- euphamism ;-). I find that in this group more than in others (and I
- don't post to frivolous groups) I have to watch what I post - and it is
- not just in posting solutions.

- : original poster (who presumably knows less than either of you) supposed to
- : know which answer was the correct one? Blatantly incorrect responses are
- : just going to confuse him more.
- My examples were CORRECT. Just that my explanation was murky. I later
- posted a followup anyway. BTW I'm not a native english speaker - my
- vocab is excellent but my spelling and expression/phrasing is somethimes
- cocked up).

- : I've seen plenty of it in comp.unix.questions. In general, it happens more
- : in the groups with lots of questions from newbies, rather than those used
- : for discussions among sophisticated users. You need to be more careful
- : when responding in these groups.
-
- Possibly... That's a good thought though. Actually my main objection was
- in the virulence of the mail I got this and other times.
