- You should get (at least) the ISI Dictionary of J, and Programming in
- J, both available from ISI - you must have the address in your
- distributions, but just in case:

- Pretty substantially. I'd say you can get started and get a feel for
- the language with the old version, but abandon it quickly. Of course
- if you're not familiar with APL to start with then 3.4 might be much
- more useful. There is a list of changes in the status.doc files that
- you should have (see the one for 5.1).
