- Agreed. The 8031 ran a control panel and talked to a
- much larger machine that did use Ada. The cost of switching to
- an Ada-capable processor with all the attendant support chips etc,
- would have blown the cost (and size and power and weight!) of the box
- through the roof. And that was without adding the cost for
- all the support software (cross-compilers, etc) since that was
- al ready available.
