  17. #time ago titled "Earth Sciences Resources on Internet". It has a
  18. #listing of anonymous FTP sites for earth science data, including
  19. #imagery. The sites include: aurelie.soest.hawaii.edu for AVHRR
  20. #images (directory pub/avhrr/images), ames.arc.nasa.gov (images from
  21. #Magellean and Viking missions etc., (directory pub/SPACE/CDROM),
  22. #vad02.larc.nasa.gov (Landsat photos in GIF and JPEG format -
  23. #directory pub/gifs/misc/landsat), and many others.  The entire file
  24. #"Earth Sciences Resources on Internet" is available, I think, via
  25. #anonymous FTP from csn.org in the directory COGS under the name
  26. #"internet.resources.earth.sci". The file should be a big help.
