- What good books can we prescribe for all of the low-level routines behind
- 3d graphics? I've got my 3:
-
- My engineer's calculus textbook. One of the *most* handy sources for trying
- to find all of the little tricks you can do with vectors.
-
- Computer Graphics Principles and Practices (??) by Foley, Van Dam, et. al.
- Not for the fient of heart, but would be good for the sleepless. Jam packed
- full of information.
-
- Interactive Computer Graphics by Peter Burger and Duncan Gillies. Kind of
- a lighter, less-filling, tastes-great, new and lemon scented version of
- Foley's book. Easier to read.
-
- I've also heard that the Graphics Gems series is a must have, unfortunately,
- BookStar wants $50 for it, and they don't even have any on the shelves that
- I can look at right now before shelling out the dough. They're getting a
- shipment, but I have no idea when it's coming in. I remember looking through
- a book that seemed to be what people describe GG as being, however I didn't
- take note at the time. *sigh* If it was, then it's basically an encyclopedia
- of 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional forulas.
