  10. Many graphics cards offer different amount of colors at different resolutions.
  11. Say   640*480*16.7mil
  12.       1024*758*256
  13.       800*600*65K
  14.  
  15. Now if I was using a GUI operating system like OS/2, and set the system to one
  16. resolution, say the highest one of 1024*758*256. Now if I want to see graphics
  17. with 16.7mil colors, do I have to reconfig the system for the proper
  18. resolution & reboot, or will the system open a 640*480*16.7mil window???

  20. It seems rather silly to have to reconfig and reboot in order to see more
  21. colors.
