  13. Most of the email-users at my institution are using POPMail for PC's
  14. or Eudora for Mac.  These mail programs have the added facility that
  15. they can do a BINHEX on any file and enclose them in the 7-bit mail. 
  16. If the receiver is using a similar program, the file will
  17. automatically be unpacked and written to disk. Hence even large
  18. programs can be sent as e-mail. This is of course very practical (if
  19. you are using a program that can handle it). But as a RMAIL user
  20. (under Emacs) it is usually a little inconvenient to read the HEX
  21. files... ;)

  23. So --- rather than doing it myself and hence perhaps reinventing the
  24. wheel --- I ask whether somebody has made a program for RMAIL that
  25. can extract those BINHEX'ed files and preferably write them to a
  26. file???
