  15.     How about starting a mailing list on the use of computers as
  16.     an education tool in higher education.  My first idea was to
  17.     start a news.group, but maybe it would be better to see if
  18.     people are interested. If so, we can always start an official
  19.     news.group creation procedure and if it passes link in the
  20.     mailing list.

  24. comp.edu    - is a perfectly suitable place for a discussion like
  25.     the one suggested.  We don't have to go further than the front
  26.     door.  As a t-shirt I have sez "Just d'Euit". (1)

  28. A bit further out there are several BITNET lists that focus on these
  29. issues

  31. CosnDisc    - Coallition of School Networking 
  32. CSAC-L        - Computing Strategies Across the Curriculum
  33. NewEdu-L    - New Paradigms in Education List

  35. If my memory serves me right, CosnDisc is at BITNIC, CSAC-L is at UVMVM,
  36. and NewEdu-L is at WVUVMD.

  39. Still further out, there is an internetable BBS system called "isaac".
  40. Telnet to isaac.engr.washington.edu.  It's a bit bureaucratic, but
  41. occassionally useful.
