  19. This helps if you have ?rn as your newsreader. Those long .newsrc
  20. lines are due to Xref or your explicitly marked articles etc. The
  21. solution is to do a catchup on those groups or junk the intermediate
  22. articles so that ?rn will do intermediate catchups. Then those lines
  23. can be manageable. The trick is to view them using the 'L' command in
  24. the newsgroup selection mode in ?rn.

  29. I think some people posted scripts for long .newsrc lines in
  30. news.software.readers (if I am not mistaken). Bruce Becker is the
