  16.            The INTEROP Conference Assessment Team (CAT)
  17.  
  18. Interop Company is seeking student volunteers to serve as quality
  19. control monitors for INTEROP 92 Fall, to be held in San Francisco,
  20. California, October 28-30, 1992.  This is a unique opportunity for
  21. students to attend the industry's premier networking conference and
  22. tradeshow, while helping us improve the quality and consistency of the
  23. conference.

  25. As a CAT member you will receive:
  26.  
  27. * Complimentary conference registration for all three conference days;
  28.  
  29. * Complimentary conference notes (for your assigned conference, there
  30.   are actually four conferences within a conference this year);
  31.  
  32. * Complimentary lunch all three days;
  33.  
  34. * Special INTEROP CAT T-shirts;
  35.  
  36. As a CAT member you will be asked to:
  37.  
  38. * Monitor preassigned conference sessions on one of the three
  39.   conference days, by submitting written reports and acting as the "eyes
  40.   and ears" of the conference organizers. We will provide you with a
  41.   basic evaluation form to aid the preparation of the reports.
  42.  
  43. (You will be free to attend any conference session and the INTEROP
  44. exhibition on your "days off.")
  45.  
  46. * Provide an accurate count of the number of people attending the
  47.   sessions you are assigned to. ("Clickers" will be provided!)
  48.  
  49. Successful CAT candidates will be students currently enrolled in a
  50. computer science or electrical engineering course at graduate or
  51. post-graduate level. Applicants should have some understanding of (and
  52. interest in) computer networking issues. All applications must be
  53. received by October 1, 1992.
