  30. Well, I am using only a 2400 modem and upgrading to a 14.4k modem would
  31. be quite an improvement to me, despite the fact that I may not get an
  32. upgrade to v.fast . Better still, the ZyXEL E+ model will be able to
  33. do up to 19.2k, which is quite enough for me at this moment. Moreover, I
  34. think the reason that ZyXEL does not guarantee upgradability to v.fast
  35. is because they don't want to make a promise that they may not be able
  36. to keep, they just are waiting for the time when they can be sure of it,
  37. and they will make such a promise. Further, I don't think ZyXEL is
  38. releasing the E+ model just to provide another proprietary (19.2k)
  39. protocol.
