- I bought a Nuvo 14,400IFX last week. I had no problems connecting to anything.
- Have you changed the init string in memory? Are you (or is your comm software)
- adding any commands before dialing? I took the defaults, and changed only the
- following:
- ATL0&C1&D2
- which sets the speaker to low volume (that damn thing is LOUD!) and ensures
- hang-up after disconnection. You may want to do an AT&V check to see what
- your current config is as opposed to the defaults. Try to make them match if
- you can--at least initially. Then write it back into memory with the command
- AT&W0. If your modem initializes to AT&Y0, then the configuration in memory
- 0 will load as your current configuration (AT&Y1 would make memory 1 your
- default at power-on).
-
- I had problems at first, but that was because the first one I bought had no
- manual with it. When I got the manual, everything fell into place for me.
