- Hello everybody!
-
- I'm new in this newsgroup and the discussion about the 16550 caught my
- interest. I do know that my 386SX has a 8250 because the MSD program from
- windows tells me so. I was curious to find the chip in my motherboard but
- I couldn't. I also have an internal modem handling another COM port but
- the chip is not in the board. Can anybody tell me how do this chip looks like?
- I was looking for a 40 pins chip but I also checked every chip in my mother-
- board and nothing (of course my motherboard has 2 built-in serial ports), the
- same thing in my modem board.
-
- Thanks for any response!
