- I'm a little surprised to see a comment on kermit performing much better
- than zmodem; I have the (supposedly) newest versions of each, and zmodem
- seems to be at least 1.5 times faster than kermit, no matter how I
- choose the packet lengths or the number of windows. I think some of the
- "problems" people have with zmodem come from a failure to read the
- manual; perhaps my problems with kermit have a similar origin.
-
- As for restarting a transmission, Compuserve B can handle this trick as
- well as zmodem -- but obviously has a more limited scope of application.
-
- Dont't forget that the standard rzsz package (zmodem) can handle ymodem,
- kermit, and compuserve b transmissions as well as zmodem (and many
- others).
