  11. I have a ZyXel U1496E and I'm trying to determine if I truly have the sockets  
  12. to support the 1meg ROMS.
  13.  
  14. The ROMS I have are 4.08 and of course have 14 pins to a side of the chip. The  
  15. sockets they sit in both have 16 pin holes in them. However the on the top  
  16. right side pin hole 16 is just a plastic hole with no metal "tube" extending  
  17. down to the motherboard. The same is true of pin hole 15 on the lower right  
  18. side of the sockets.

  20. pin 16 is an empty hole, where counting the pin numbers goes from left to  
  21. right.
