- As a matter of fact, it's the RECOMMENDED service procedure for
- many products, since it minimizes potential damage to the PC board.

- It's ugly, but usually more reliable than desoldering, cleaning,
- and resoldering 40 (double side board?) pads.

- The 3-minute time you mentioned for removing a 40 pin part from
- a double sided board clean is incredible. It takes me several
- times that, and I'm a very experienced technician.
