- I just bought a Twincom V32bis 14.4 Fax/Modem and I haven't been able to
- connect to the Prodigy information service since. The Prodigy communication
- program tells me that I have a noisy line. Also, the prodigy service runs at a
- maximum of 2400 baud.
-
- The manual that came with the modem suggests using the AT command W2 in
- order to turn off the Negotiation Progress Reporting. It also says that the
- messages sent if this is on will be recognized as noise by Prodigy.
- Unfortunately, I have tried to add the ATW2 command using the software's
- modemstr.exe utility. (modemstr.exe allows the user to add their own modem
- init strings), and the modem still get kicked off the service returning the
- same noisy line message.
-
- If anyone can help, please post here or E-Mail me direct at:
