  13. I just bought a Twincom V32bis 14.4 Fax/Modem and I haven't been able to
  14. connect to the Prodigy information service since. The Prodigy communication
  15. program tells me that I have a noisy line. Also, the prodigy service runs at a 
  16. maximum of 2400 baud.

  18. The manual that came with the modem suggests using the AT command W2 in
  19. order to turn off the Negotiation Progress Reporting. It also says that the
  20. messages sent if this is on will be recognized as noise by Prodigy. 
  21. Unfortunately, I have tried to add the ATW2 command using the software's 
  22. modemstr.exe utility.  (modemstr.exe allows the user to add their own modem 
  23. init strings), and the modem still get kicked off the service returning the
  24. same noisy line message.
