- I'm having difficulty using my Zyxel U-1496E and the supplied ZFAX
- software. Couple of problems:
-
- 1) It seems I can receive only a page or two, and then the connection
- fails (the sending FAX signals an error at this point).
-
- 2) When sending, the resulting status is always FAIL.
-
- I believe I have the 4.09 ROMs. Not that it matters, but my system
- config is 386-33, MSDOS 5, EMM386, Stacker, NCACHE, NDOS.
-
- Has anyone successfully used the ZFAX software? Did you experience
- the above problems?
-
- Couple of other questions:
-
- 1) What MS-DOS based FAX software packages support ZYXEL? I'm
- preferrably looking for PD/Shareware stuff.
-
- 2) Is there any FAX package for Windows which can look like a printer,
- so I can "print" Word4Windows documents directly to the FAX? Or is
- there another way of FAXing Word documents in their pretty "typeset"
- look without having to resort to actual paper printing?
-
-
- Any info would be greatly appreciated.
-
- Thanks,
- - Steve -
