  12. Our department would like to install a simple LAN that can link both our
  13. Macintosh and IBM PC users on a single system.  I am aware that Appletalk 
  14. can be used on PCs by purchasing a special card, but now I've heard that there
  15. will be a new Appletalk-like system available for Windows machines in a few
  16. months.

  18. 1.  Please post suggestions on how we can provide basic communications and 
  19. shared use of peripherals on a system with these two types of machines,
  20.  
  21. 2.  Is my information about the Windows system accurate?  Can Macs be 
  22. connected to such an LAN?
