- Our department would like to install a simple LAN that can link both our
- Macintosh and IBM PC users on a single system. I am aware that Appletalk
- can be used on PCs by purchasing a special card, but now I've heard that there
- will be a new Appletalk-like system available for Windows machines in a few
- months.
-
- 1. Please post suggestions on how we can provide basic communications and
- shared use of peripherals on a system with these two types of machines,
-
- 2. Is my information about the Windows system accurate? Can Macs be
- connected to such an LAN?
