- I have an A3000 a Bridgeboard (IBM Emulator) and of course a SupraFAX 32bis.
- The software that came with the modem is called GPFAX and is very nice and
- slick, but seems to not work very well. I also have a program called
- AmigaFAX and the MTEZ FAX for the IBM.
-
- GPFAX is easy to use, relatively fast, and has nice features....but when
- I send faxes, even when the fax has not been sent properly it tells me
- that all is well.. Not being sent properly includes being garbled, or
- missing pages. The other two pieces of software are not so nice, but I
- have had to use them since I feel GPFAX is not reliable. AmigaFax is a
- demo version and can only send 1 page at a time (thats a hassle) and
- MTEZ FAX is nice but it runs on the emulator and thus is slow.
-
- One thing I have noticed is that when I use MTEZ FAX and AmigaFAX (the
- two softwares that work) that the SD and RD lights on the modem go as
- follows.... SD RD <pause> RD SD RD <pause> RD SD RD <pause> etc... but
- the GPFAX has the SD light on and the RD light never comes on. Are these
- two different fax modes? Can I make GPFAX use the mode that seems to work
- for me? Anything I should know about GPFAX?
-
-
- On another issue... it seems like there is not a really good piece of fax
- software on the Amiga. I would be willing to pay for a piece of software
- that
- that has the following traits:
-
- 1) Dos 2.04 compatible
- 2) Dos 2.04 look/feel
- 3) Built in editor
- 4) Built in mini-paint program
- 5) File conversion (TIF/IFF/HAM/GIF/etc.)
- 6) Built-in templates for certain types of faxes (memos, etc..)
- 7) Reliable
- 8) Full diagnostics
- 9) Scheduling/broadcasting/etc..
-
- Why is there nothign like this? If there is, please notify me...
-

- Thanx...
