  12. I have an A3000 a Bridgeboard (IBM Emulator) and of course a SupraFAX 32bis.
  13. The software that came with the modem is called GPFAX and is very nice and
  14. slick, but seems to not work very well. I also have a program called
  15. AmigaFAX and the MTEZ FAX for the IBM.

  17. GPFAX is easy to use, relatively fast, and has nice features....but when
  18. I send faxes, even when the fax has not been sent properly it tells me
  19. that all is well.. Not being sent properly includes being garbled, or
  20. missing pages. The other two pieces of software are not so nice, but I
  21. have had to use them since I feel GPFAX is not reliable. AmigaFax is a
  22. demo version and can only send 1 page at a time (thats a hassle) and
  23. MTEZ FAX is nice but it runs on the emulator and thus is slow.

  25. One thing I have noticed is that when I use MTEZ FAX and AmigaFAX (the
  26. two softwares that work) that the SD and RD lights on the modem go as
  27. follows....   SD RD <pause> RD SD RD <pause> RD SD RD <pause> etc... but
  28. the GPFAX has the SD light on and the RD light never comes on. Are these
  29. two different fax modes? Can I make GPFAX use the mode that seems to work
  30. for me? Anything I should know about GPFAX?

  33. On another issue... it seems like there is not a really good piece of fax
  34. software on the Amiga. I would be willing to pay for a piece of software
  35. that
  36. that has the following traits:

  38. 1) Dos 2.04 compatible
  39. 2) Dos 2.04 look/feel
  40. 3) Built in editor
  41. 4) Built in mini-paint program
  42. 5) File conversion (TIF/IFF/HAM/GIF/etc.)
  43. 6) Built-in templates for certain types of faxes (memos, etc..)
  44. 7) Reliable
  45. 8) Full diagnostics 
  46. 9) Scheduling/broadcasting/etc..

  48. Why is there nothign like this? If there is, please notify me...
