  39. Yes, informix does check for the presence of NFS...while informix products may be stored on NFS mounted directories (ie $INFORMIXDIR), database directories/files must either be on the local machine...or you must have an informix networking product.
  40. Sorry if this wasn't made clear to you, but the bottom line is that without an
  41. informix networking product, the database files must be local, only informix product can be stored remotely.
