  30. I don't know if this is helpful to you - but here is the standard error
  31. message for the 581 message:

  33. -581    Error loading message file.

  35. This SET EXPLAIN statement could not be completed because the
  36. database engine was unable to find the file of message templates it
  37. uses when preparing explanatory output. Consult with the person
  38. who installed the Informix software.

  40. Perhaps you should check your installation again to make sure that the
  41. msg directory is available/has correct permissions/has all necessary files.
