  13. I'm looking for a database (to run on a PC) that will provide some forms of
  14. security.  It should support multiple user concurrently (though it doesn't
  15. have to).  The primary features required are password access to files and
  16. some sort of encryption of the data.

  18. DES is not required and cost will be a concern, so other options will be
  19. explored also.

  21. The system should also have a good (and easy to use) ad hoc query tool.
