- Hello,
-
- We are looking for a database product to manage information about
- AD patients. It will be run on a SPARC 490 (unix).
- I am new to database and it is my understanding that many of the
- popular DBMS's, such as Informix, ORACLE, Ingres and db-VISTA, are
- tools for developing database applications, and much programming
- needs to be done before the end-users can use the system.
- Since we don't have the time and resources to do the programming,
- we are looking for something that is (almost) ready to run out of
- the box. Is there such a thing for the unix enviorenment?
- Some people suggest running Paradox for DOS/Windows on the
- SPARC 490. Is this advisable?
-
- Any suggestion/comments would be greatly appreciated.
