  13. We are looking for a database product to manage information about
  14. AD patients. It will be run on a SPARC 490 (unix).
  15. I am new to database and it is my understanding that many of the
  16. popular DBMS's, such as Informix, ORACLE, Ingres and db-VISTA, are
  17. tools for developing database applications, and much programming
  18. needs to be done before the end-users can use the system.
  19. Since we don't have the time and resources to do the programming,
  20. we are looking for something that is (almost) ready to run out of 
  21. the box. Is there such a thing for the unix enviorenment?
  22. Some people suggest running Paradox for DOS/Windows on the
  23. SPARC 490. Is this advisable?
