- We have been using Oracle on a Solbourn UNIX box as a database server, and
- interfacing to it from Macs using SuperCard, SQL*Net and Oracle Network
- Station (now called Macintosh client tools). The problem we now have is
- that the Network Station (client tools) has jumped in price to $600/Mac
- (plus the $200 for SQL*Net). This seems like an outrageous price per Mac.
-
- So... is there an alternative we could use, perhaps something put out by a
- 3rd party vendor which interfaces to an Oracle database server from the Macs?
- It must support SuperCard/HyperCard by providing an "execsql" XCMD of some
- sort. Your help will be greatly appreciated.
-
- Thanks,
