  20.   I was referring to the XFH-Handler which is part of the XPK package.
  21. XPK has not been officially released yet, but will be within the next
  22. couple of days. XPK is a joint effort between Urban Mueller, Kristian
  23. Nielsen, Bryan Ford and a few more. It's an XPR-like programming 
  24. interface for data compression routines. In this package the XFH-
  25. Handler is included which can decompress files on the fly. The Beta
  26. version I have also compresses on the fly (although for some types of
  27. applications it does not work right now).

  31.   I am also developing a compressing filesystem of my own, which is
  32. quite different from the XPK approach (it is a real filesystem). More 
  33. on this later when it's released.
