  12. I am trying to get the "compver" file in the software packaging tools
  13. to work.  I've checked several versions, including the SVr4 version
  14. that comes with Solaris 2.0 (SunOS 5.0).

  16. Here's the situation:

  18. Package <foo1> version 1.1 is installed.  It has a "compver"
  19. file containing the lines
  20.  
  21. 1.1
  22. 1.0
  23.  
  24. According to TFM, this says that version 1.1 should satisfy
  25. dependencies in packages looking for version 1.0.
  26.  
  27. Package <foo2> has in its depend file
  28.  
  29. P foo1 Foo1 package description
  30.     (sun4)1.0
  31.  
  32. When I go to install foo2, it still complains that it needs <foo1>
  33. version 1.0.
  34.  
  35. Any ideas?  It seems to me there is a bug in either TFTools or TFM.
