  26. This is a test version of a program for local history societies, family 
  27. history societies and similar organizations to record tombstone inscriptions.

  29. I announced it earlier this week, but have only now managed to get it sent 
  30. to an ftp site.

  32. The main aim of distributing it at this stage is so that people who are 
  33. interested will test it and submit bug reports to the authors. The program 
  34. has been developed after extensive discussions in this echo and in 
  35. GENEALOGY.EUR over the last couple of years. The people who are interested, 
  36. and who have participated in the discussions, should get hold of a copy and 
  37. test it. It should not be put to serious use yet, but should be used with 
  38. test data only.

  40. I have sent a copy on disk to Mike Fisher of 2:440/50@Fidonet so that he can 
  41. release it into the Genealogy Software Distribution System (GSDS) on Fidonet.

  43. I will also try to send it by ftp to Simtel20, but there are no guarantees 
  44. about that.
