- I assume you would prefer an environment in which architects design
- things that they know can be built with technology that is on the
- shelf when they start. The way American car companies in the 1950s
- and 60s did.

- Go take a look at some of Pei's buildings; they do get built and are
- some of the architectural triumphs of the late 20th century,
