  11.     I have two general questions reqarding neural net 
  12. state of the art:
  13.     1) Does there exist a method by which we are
  14.            able to systematically determine network
  15.            topology (# of nodes and # of layers) for
  16.            a feed-foreword perceptron-type net (not
  17.            a net used for pattern classification where
  18.            a decision tree is mapped onto a neural net).

  20.     2) Does there exist a neural net structure that
  21.            accounts for a priori knowledge of system equations
  22.            (i.e. we may have some knowledge of how an
  23.            input vector is related to a corresponding output
  24.            vector).
