- Resource Limited Reasoning recognizes the fact that the world may change
- during the time that reasoning is taking place thus making obsolete the
- premises on which that reasoning was based. It also recognizes that there
- is no such thing as "perfect" or even adequate knowledge of the world.
- So it studies techniques to do reasoning in such situations.
-
- Resource limited reasoning besides having a philosophical content relies
- on a lot of techniques of which anytime algorithms are a part. Theres lots
- more to Resource Limited Reasoning than just those however.
-
- I had taken a seminar given by Martha Pollack last term at the University
- of Pittsburgh, if you are interested in references send me e-mail and I
- will mail them to you.
