- If you are using both WPDOS and WPWIN, simply move all of your spelling files
- into the WPC directory (I assume a default installation for both). Then
- configure both WP versions to point to the WPC directory: in WPDOS, Setup,
- Location of Files, and in WPWIN, Preferences, Location of Files. A few
- important cautions. Use the latest versions of the .LEX files and the
- *spell.exe for each language you use. The .SUP files require special handling
- and must not be overwritten one on the other. Put the largest of the
- identically named .SUP files in WPC and consolidate by simply spell-checking
- the smaller one(s) and taking the add option for every word. All the spelling
- files can now be shared. Don't forget to delete all of the spelling files in
- WP51 and WPWIN and reclaim all of that valuable real estate.
-
- In a similar manner, most of the printer and utility files can be shared by
- WPWIN and WPDOS. It is possible to eliminate about 2MB of file duplication
- with the proper configuration. If you need help in doing this, please advise
- and I will post the explicit directions.
