  11. We connect to BITNET thru Rutgers University and due to technical difficulties
  12. there, I haven't seen any notis-l articles posted after Labor Day.  Undaunted,
  13. I go on asking questions.  Please keep in mind that at this point I haven't
  14. seen any of your answers.  Dan Gillett sent me direct mail so I got the
  15. message that blanking the interface fields won't work once I have a delete
  16. date.  However, it seems to me that students who had end of summer semester
  17. delete dates now have indef delete dates.  This must be because their delete
  18. date had expired.This leads me to my next question, does the delete date come
  19. into play anywhere except in the batch delete program?  If not, I am thinking
  20. about making two updates of the patron file-one to put in an expired delete
  21. date and then one to use the blank delete date to produce the indef delete
  22. date.  I am making a test run tonight, but would appreciate hearing about any
  23. red flags of warning anyone sees when they read thi
