  18. NB 4.0 freezes when abbreviation expansion is on and the replacement
  19. string has some length.  One with 36 characters came through but
  20. others with 46 characters or more invariably produced a
  21. deadlock.  I removed all carriage returns from the replacement
  22. strings.  No avail.  I even tried with ones using solely non-accented
  23. characters. Ditto. Has anyone succeeded in using longer
  24. replacement strings in 4.0?
  25. There were no problems in 3.0 or 3.1 with this feature.
