- Regarding snail-like cursor movement, I suggest people having this problem
- change to expanded mode and check for the presence of rabbit-like multiplication
- of mode commands. NB 4 seems to handle inserts somewhat differently when the
- surrounding text is in a different print mode. I expanded a file to find,
- much to my surprise, that every damned letter had a mode normal before it,
- and a mode italic after it. (I had been inserting normal text in an area
- that had an undetected mode italic delta). This resulted in tons o'
- characters for the cursor to glide through. I don't recall this happening
- with NB 3.0.
