- J-P Takkala mentions the idiosyncracies of Harvard Graphics and NB and reports
- on the advice of the HG people that he get a more up to date processor.
-
- Members of this list should know that HG created its own FF unalterably since
- its very first version, well before anyone at HG could conceive of more and
- less "up-to-date" word processors. I have used HG with NB in precisely the
- manner described and there has never been any processor that could do battle
- with HG's embedded (and thus far inaccesible) form-feeds.
-
- By contrast, the graphs produced by Quattro Pro are exportable as no-hassle
- print-to-disk files and perfectly importable to NB ("perfectly
- importable"...is this English?).
-
- In addition, anyone who works with the PC version of SPSS can bring in any of
- its tables, graphs, and charts (!) into NB as regular text files. The HP, for
- instance, will print bar charts beautifully as integral parts of your text;
- i.e., you merge the file from SPSS as you would any other file. It's all
- ASCII to me.
