- Many thanks to the person who discovered that ANSI keyboard
- reassignments stop the operation of [F5] in the NBVIDEO program.
-
- The problem with the cursor falling in the wrong area in the
- `Search for:' and `Change from:' menus, which Hans Borchers
- mentions, appears in several other help menus as well. It
- seems to be caused by conflicting mode settings on monochrome
- monitors, and/or the presence of MDFR and MDIT modes in type 1
- and type 5 help frames. In combination, these changes seem to
- work:
-
- In the NB.HLP file:
-
- 1) Change `MDFR' to `MDSO' in the Search and Change menus;
-
- 2) Change `MDIT' to `MDSO' in the two type 5 help frames in
- which they appear (the `Custom Envelope Options' and `Body/Text-
- length' menus);
-
- In the NBCUSTOM.SET file, add the lines:
-
- MDSO=120
- MDBI=112
-
- You may have to experiment with these values.
-
- This last tip, a temporary fix, comes from Rebecca at NBI, who notes
- that NBCUSTOM.SET settings override those in the NBVIDIO program.
-
- Together, these changes have also given me a visible cursor
- in the thesaurus.
